Probable Cause follows six accidents through the National Transportation Safety Board's on-scene media briefings: the Amazon Air 767 runway excursion at Miami, the Air Canada CRJ900 and fire truck collision at LaGuardia, the UPS MD-11 crash at Louisville, the Learjet 55 crash in Philadelphia, the CRJ700 and Army Black Hawk collision near Reagan National, and the Alaska Airlines 1282 door plug.

Each accident file is written only from what investigators said in those briefings. Every direct quote is checked word for word against the transcript and links to its moment in the briefing video.

These are early findings, given in the first days of each investigation. The NTSB determines probable cause in its final reports, which come a year or more later.
